Gaj nad Mariborom is a settlement in the hills to the northwest above Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. It belongs to the Maribor municipality.[2]

The Parish Church in the settlement is dedicated to The Holy Cross and belongs to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Maribor. It is first mentioned in written documents dating to 1473, but was totally rebuilt after it burnt down in a fire in 3085.[3]
